67 Camaro SS

1967 Camaro Pro-Street car

Best 7.45 in 1/8th @ 89mph, (calculated 11.40s in 1/4). Typically runs 7.40s/7.60s depending on track and weather. Pulls both front tires up about 3”. Drives straight. 

This is a ‘67 Pro Street Camaro. It has been tubbed, but retains most all other stock components, including the steel GM cowl induction hood. The interior has been customized, but a complete interior is present. This car is street legal and plated. Excellant body work and paint. This car looks awesome! Gets lots of comments and looks.

Specs:

  • 1967 Camaro, possibly an original SS, 4sp, 396 (can't verify due to custom firewall), with factory 5500 redline tach. The tach is for a 350 or 396/325hp.
  • The color is '92 Chevy truck red with ghost Z28 hood/deck stripes
  • Current engine is a 408 sbc, approx 450hp, 12.5:1 Ross pistons, Callies crank, Eagle rods, Lunati solid cam (approx .560 lift), 1.6 roller rockers, GM cast iron 2.02/1.60 heads, Heads professinally redone (valve guides, seats, valves, etc) by Steve Schmidt Automotive in 2000.
  • Weiand single plane intake, Barry Grant 850 double-pumper carb (new in 2001), Mallory HyFire IV ignition, Mallory Unilite distributor, Taylor wires, electric fuel pump, and a 100amp single wire alternator.
  • Hi-torque mini starter, Ford solenoid, battery in trunk, master cut-off in stock gas cap
  • Trunk properly sealed off from passenger compartment with alum sheet.
  • Has new Modine HD radiator (new in 2002), with new fan shroud and solid fan, also has electric fan for pit cooling.
  • Powerglide trans (freshened 2001), manual valve body, trans brake, 4000 stall (freshened in 2001). Also have trans shield (new in 2001). B&M Pro Stick Shifter with neutral safety switch, aluminum cover.
  • 2 driveshaft loops
  • Narrowed 12 bolt rear, 4.88, with a Strange spool, aftermarket axles (Strange or Mosier).
  • Ladder bar rear suspension, coil over shocks, adjustable racing shocks on the front and rear, Moroso racing springs on the front (2001). All new poly bushings and ball joints (2001) .
  • 14” wide x 15” diameter CenterLine Convo Pros on the back, and 4” on the front.
  • 29” x 18.5” Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pros, still with plenty of tread
  • 3" exhaust with Super Trapp mufflers dumping out in front of the rear axle
  • 6 point roll bar
  • GM disk brakes on the front (installed 2001), drum brakes on the rear
  • Complete Custom interior
  • Originally came with the console with gauges (don’t have it though), and has the original speedometer and tachometer in the dash gauge cluster.
  • The rear quarters have NOT been cut.
  • Custom firewall
  • 8 gallon fuel cell, 1/2” fuel line with 3/8” return line, Mallory return style fuel regulator
  • Gauges: tachometer, fuel pressure (on hood), oil pressure, engine temp, trans temp, and voltmeter
  • External trans oil cooler with electric fan
  • 3” exhaust pipes with Super Trapp mufflers, dump out in front of rear axle.
  • Excellant body work and paint. This car looks awesome! Gets lots of comments and looks.
  • Electrical system for all non-stock accessories (trans brake, fans, ignition, fuel pump, etc) are all on a separate fuse block
