This is my '67 Camaro. As you can see, I've done a little work to it in the four years I've had it. It was originally a 327 2bbl / powerglide car with factory air, power steering, power brakes and 3.07 gears. When I bought it, it had a sick 307 and a TH-350 and the AC was long gone. It now has a 355 small block generating approximately 497 hp @ 7000 rpm and 429 ft/lbs @ 5500 at the flywheel with open exhaust.. (according to the desktop dyno 2000.)

The motor has 10.2:1 compression and a fully balanced Eagle 4340 forged steel crank, Eagle 4340 forged H-beam rods, SRP forged pistons, JE rings, and Clevite 77 bearings. The heads are World Products Motown's with 220 cc intake runners and 2.08" x 1.60" Manly stainless valves. A Wiend Team G intake and a holly 750 double pumper. Full MSD ignition. A big Holley electric fuel pump. Hooker Super Competition ceramic headers with 3" Flowmasters exiting the sides. The cam is a Comp cams Extreme Energy with 294-306 degrees of duration and the 1.6:1 pro-magnum roller rockers bring the lift to .554"-.558". The trans is a TH-400 with a "manual-automatic" valve body, and a TCI 3800 converter. The drive shaft was custom made. The rear end has Mosier alloy axles, Eaton Posi, and a aluminum bearing support cover. The 3.07 gears were replaced with 4.10's and they spin 29"-18.50"-15" MT Sportman Pro's.

 I welded in a Competition Engineering back-half kit with ladder bars and coil-overs, tubbed the car, narrowed the rear end 6 1/2" inches on both sides, welded in a 10 pt. roll cage to keep the track officials happy, and lowered it 2 inches. All the fabrication, welding, rear-end and motor work was done myself, but I farmed out the trans. and paint work.

My best run to date has been 11.539 @ 118.8 mph. I have recently bought a Nitrous Works nitrous kit that is adjustable from 125 - 300 hp. Both them and NOS tell me that the way the motor is built, I can run as much as a 250 hp shot without causing any damage to my engine. That should be enough to put me in the low 10's.
